Senior Java Software Engineer - API - CI/CD - AI - Hybrid
Senior Software Engineers are required by this FS leader as they continue their modernisation across software engineering approaches. Are you an experienced engineers who wants to contribute to the future of AI-led software development, working alongside liked-minded engineers really challenging what is possible in production.
In this role, you'll work as part of a small team on the modernisation of high-value Legacy services using advanced AI tooling, shipping improvements in rapid cycles and demonstrating measurable gains in performance, reliability, and delivery speed. You'll work on complex systems that directly unblock organisational velocity, using AI to analyse codebases, extract clean APIs, refactor safely, and deliver fully tested, production-ready services.
Alongside modernisation, you'll build the AI-powered development infrastructure of the future: MCP-based service discovery, AI-assisted CI/CD pipelines, automated code review and test generation, and reusable tooling that elevates engineering productivity across the organisation.
This team is senior, and outcome-driven-ideal for engineers who love writing code, solving hard problems, and proving impact through shipped work.
Ideally you will be able to demonstrate -
- An extensive history of Back End engineering experience (Java, microservices, large-scale systems)
- A track record modernising production systems
- Ideally, hands-on experience with LLMs, MCP, Copilot/Claude Code, or AI-powered automation
- Evidence of real productivity gains achieved through AI in your workflow
- An inquisitive nature, looking to challenge where applicable and push technical boundaries
