Senior AI Software Engineer - London (3 days a week) - up to £150K plus equity

A venture-backed Fintech company is looking to hire a Senior AI Software Engineer to join their London based team. This is a hybrid role, based in the London office 3 days a week.

The company's mission is to leverage Generative AI and Agentic workflows to eliminate the blockers that slow down workflows, thus empowering brands to move faster and be more compliant.

The team is made up of sub-20 people, all based in London. Half of the team are engineers or technology-related.

The role reports to the CTO and will require offer the opportunity to:

• Help build the engineering team and processes from the ground up
• Build with the latest in LLMs, multi-agent systems, and define the tech stack
• Have significant input on the AI strategy and roadmap
• Design agentic architectures
• Optimise for production scale
• Pioneer multi-modal category-specific analysis
• Build validation & evaluation infrastructure
• Drive ML innovation in the category
• Steer the future of the categories AI

You will have:

• Actively used AI in your workflows
• Deployed AI systems at scale
• Built real-world systems with LLMs
• Used agent frameworks, like LangGraph or LangChain, RAG pipelines

It would be interesting if you have:

• Contributed to the AI/ML community (open-source, publications, talks)
• Experienced optimising AI models through fine-tuning, distillation, or human-in-the-loop validation

Preferably looking for Computer Science graduates with at least 1 year working in a core AI engineering role within an AI-first company and 3 years experience or more working as a Software Engineer, Backend Engineer, ML Engineer or Product Engineer.
