My client is a highly respected, award-winning Managed Service Provider headquartered in London, known for delivering exceptional IT solutions and support to some of the capital's most prominent financial organisations. Renowned for their technical expertise and outstanding customer experience, they continue to expand and are now looking for an experienced Onsite 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join their team, providing dedicated support to several key client accounts.
The Role
As an Onsite 2nd Line IT Support Engineer, you'll be pivotal in maintaining and supporting the IT environments of their clients. Based primarily across a couple of Central London client sites, you will serve as the technical escalation point for more complex support issues, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and the delivery of a consistently high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 2nd Line technical support for end users across multiple client sites, both remotely and onsite.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Escalate and work closely with 3rd Line engineers or vendors where necessary.
- Support and maintain the full Microsoft technology stack, including:
- Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365
- Azure AD, Intune, and Exchange Online
- Windows Server (2016–2022), Active Directory, Group Policy
- Microsoft Teams and SharePoint Online
- Manage incidents, service requests, and changes using ITSM tools in line with SLA targets.
About You
- Experience: 3+ years in a 2nd Line (or strong 1st/2nd Line hybrid) support role, ideally within an IT Managed Service Provider (MSP) or financial sector environment.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Exchange and Windows Server environments.
- Experience supporting desktops, laptops, and mobile devices (Windows, iOS).
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs).
- Familiarity with remote monitoring tools, ticketing systems, and ITIL practices.
