Privacy Assurance Consultant

We are seeking a Privacy Assurance Consultant who can bridge the gap between legal, compliance, and engineering teams to ensure privacy requirements are translated into technical, testable solutions. This role involves converting internal policies into Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs), performing technical impact assessments on tracking technologies, and auditing vendor integrations to ensure compliance with privacy standards.

The ideal candidate is a strategic, analytical problem-solver with strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, capable of turning complex privacy obligations into actionable, automated specifications that support both compliance and business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Translate internal policies into NFRs that can be implemented as automated, testable logic.
  • Conduct technical impact assessments on tracking technologies, supporting privacy and technical due-diligence activities.
  • Audit technical plans and vendor integrations to ensure alignment with privacy guardrails.
  • Identify scenarios requiring escalation to legal teams.
  • Convert ambiguous legal requirements into clear, testable technical specifications.
  • Maintain a privacy assurance toolkit, including automated tests, checklists, test cases, and vendor-assessment criteria.

Eligibility Requirements

Technical Skills

  • Strong technical background across web/mobile SDKs, event streaming, identity resolution, encryption, and logging/observability.
  • Working knowledge of key privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, PECR) and regulator guidance.
  • Ability to run privacy impact assessments with both technical and legal depth.
  • Experience authoring NFRs and Behaviour-Driven Development-style testable specifications.
  • Audit and assurance mindset with the ability to challenge technical designs and vendor claims.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Architecture, Legal, Security, Compliance, Product, and Procurement teams.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • High level of collaboration and stakeholder-management capability.
  • Strong business acumen with a focus on delivering privacy-aligned solutions that enable business value.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience applying structured problem-solving frameworks (e.g., root-cause analysis, Six Sigma, Design Thinking).
  • Certifications in Project Management, Agile, or Analytics (nice to have).
