Senior / Lead Backend Web Developer – Digital Experience Projects

£60,000 – £65,000

Hybrid – London

I'm currently partnered with a leading digital experience agency who are looking to bring in a Senior or Lead Backend Web Developer to join their engineering team. This role is a backfill for a highly valued team member, so they're keen to move quickly and meet strong talent.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a modern .NET environment, enjoys working with enterprise CMS platforms, and is ready to take ownership of technical direction on key projects.

What you'll bring

• Strong experience with .NET / C#

• Recent hands-on work with Sitecore 9 or 10

• Understanding of headless / API-driven architectures

• Some exposure to React or Next.js, or a genuine desire to develop these skills

• Experience leading development initiatives or acting as the technical lead on projects

• Ability to engage with customers in a consultative, solutions-focused way

• Strong organisational skills – able to plan, prioritise and drive development workstreams

• Interest in AI-assisted development and testing tools

Nice to have

• Experience with Sitecore XM Cloud

• Exposure to Optimizely CMS

• Familiarity with Azure services and Azure DevOps

• Any experience with containers / Kubernetes

• AWS exposure
