Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst

Location: Onsite, 5 days per week (South Midlands / Cotswolds area)

Salary: £40,000 – £42,000

We are working with a well-established, growing organisation in the leisure and hospitality sector, seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join their head office team.

This is a key role focused on turning data into actionable insight, supporting decision-making across multiple areas of the business. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to deliver reporting, analyse performance, and help drive operational and commercial improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Design, develop and maintain dashboards and reports for business stakeholders
  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators including revenue, utilisation and customer trends
  • Deliver ad-hoc analysis to support strategic and operational decisions

Systems & Data Support:

  • Act as a point of contact for reporting and analytics queries
  • Troubleshoot data and reporting issues across systems
  • Support improvements to reporting functionality and data processes
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency and governance

Business Performance:

  • Identify trends and opportunities to improve operational efficiency and performance
  • Support pricing and promotional activity through data analysis
  • Analyse customer behaviour including segmentation, retention and lifetime value
  • Provide recommendations based on data insights

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work closely with stakeholders across the business to understand reporting needs
  • Present insights in a clear, actionable way to non-technical audiences
  • Support users with dashboards and promote data-driven decision making

Requirements

  • Experience in a BI or Data Analyst role
  • Strong Power BI skills (including DAX)
  • Solid SQL skills
  • Advanced Excel
  • Experience working with stakeholders and presenting insights
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail

Desirable

  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric
  • Exposure to automation tools or scripting (e.g. Python, VBA)
  • Experience working with APIs or data integrations
  • Background in hospitality, retail or service-led environments
