Oracle Developer

Oracle Developer | 12-Month Contract initially | Outside IR35 | Fully remote role

We are seeking a highly experienced Oracle Developer to join a well-established consultancy on a long-term contract basis. This role offers the chance to work on significant projects converting business requirements into effective solutions with a strong customer focus.

We are looking for a problem-solver with strong analytical skills, a flexible approach to changing priorities and requirements, able to work independently and collaboratively, and committed to taking ownership and delivering end-to-end solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain database applications using SQL and PL/SQL.
• Conduct performance analysis and tuning to ensure optimal database efficiency.
• Create and maintain Unix Shell Scripts to support automation and process improvements.
• Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Take ownership of the full development life cycle, from design and coding to testing and ongoing support.

Skills & Experience

• SQL & PL/SQL coding: 10+ years of strong, hands-on experience.
• Database application design: Proven expertise in designing efficient and scalable solutions.
• Performance analysis & tuning: Strong capability in optimising database performance.
• Unix Shell-Scripting: Solid working knowledge.
• Proficient in Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Oracle DBA experience.
• Experience with Oracle 19c, PDBs, and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
• Knowledge of Teradata TTU (BTEQ & TPT).
