- Monthly lunch clubs at some of London’s top restaurants
- Opportunity to relocate to the US in the future, aligned with Tech Shack’s plans
- Excellent staff retention rate
- Hybrid working with an early finish on Fridays
- Strong opportunities to move into management and scale teams
The Role
This is a hands-on, fast-paced, people-focused role where you’ll learn how to build a market, develop consultative sales skills, and manage recruitment processes end-to-end.
- Reaching out to engineers and tech professionals via LinkedIn, job boards, and referrals—starting conversations and building connections
- Building your own network over time so people come back to you when they’re considering a move
- Speaking with candidates to understand their experience, goals, and motivations beyond just salary
- Writing job adverts that stand out from typical recruiter postings
- Reviewing CVs and identifying genuinely strong fits
- Managing the interview process from first call through to offer—keeping things moving and ensuring alignment
- Working with clients to understand hiring needs and providing honest market feedback
- Getting involved in events and meetups—helping to organise, attend, and build your presence in the tech community
- Staying in touch with people long-term, not just when there’s an open role
- Keeping your work organised in the CRM (important, even if not the most exciting part)
- Learning your market (e.g. Software Engineering, DevOps, Data/AI) and becoming a true specialist
About You
- Ambitious and motivated to succeed
- Competitive nature (a sports background is a plus, but not required)
- Excellent communication skills, with confidence speaking to business leaders
- 2:1 from a top 30 university (preferred, but not essential)
- Resilient and able to handle rejection professionally
- Strong social skills and personability
- Great work ethic, with evidence to support it
- High-performance mindset
