Lead React Native Engineer

Lead React Native Engineer | React Native, Expo, Typescript | Up To £90k, Remote (UK)

I’m working with a well-funded UK tech company at an exciting stage of growth as they scale their engineering team and mobile platform.

They’re looking for a Lead React Native Engineer to take ownership of their mobile applications across iOS and Android, shaping architecture, performance standards, and release processes as the platform evolves.

This is a senior individual contributor role with strong technical influence, working closely with backend, product and design to deliver high-quality mobile experiences used at scale.

Key experience:

• Strong production experience with React Native and TypeScript

• Experience building and shipping apps with Expo

• Deep understanding of React hooks, state management, and performance optimisation

• Experience architecting and scaling mobile applications

• High bar for engineering quality, testing, and reliability

Nice to have:

• Modern React Native architecture (Fabric, JSI, TurboModules)

• Native integrations (Swift / Kotlin)

• Mobile CI/CD tooling (Fastlane, GitHub Actions, Bitrise)

• Observability tools such as Sentry or Firebase

Remote-first within the UK

Salary - £80-90k
