Web Application Developer (12-Month FTC) | London Hybrid | £70,000 – £80,000
We’re partnering with a highly regarded UK-based professional services firm to hire a Web Application Developer on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
The business has a strong track record of building bespoke internal systems and is now focused on supporting and evolving a key client-facing application while exploring its longer-term technology strategy.
This is not a greenfield development role. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys working on existing systems, understanding how they work, and ensuring they continue to perform reliably while being incrementally improved.
They need someone who can start within a month, so this will only suit candidates who are available immediately or on this notice.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Maintaining and supporting a bespoke web application used by external clients
- Setting up and configuring new client instances (including code-level adjustments)
- Troubleshooting bugs and delivering ongoing improvements
- Working extensively with SQL Server to query and manage data
- Supporting API integrations between internal and external systems
- Taking ownership of a largely standalone development environment
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand requirements and prioritise tasks
- Contributing to future enhancements, including potential AI-driven improvements
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong experience with C# and .NET Core is a must
- Solid SQL Server skills, including writing and optimising queries
- Experience with Angular is a must
- Working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience maintaining and supporting existing applications
- Comfortable working independently in a low-oversight environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with non-technical users
- Bonus: exposure to AI / LLMs, Microsoft 365 automation, or API integrations
