Automation Test Lead

Note:

  1. Candidates are requested to Work from Office 5 days a week – Onsite, they will be visiting the client location.
  2. Candidate should have hands on experience in test automation frameworks using C#. BDD frameworks (SpecFlow, Gherkin)

The Role

As an Automation Test Lead, you will define, implement and govern automated testing strategies

across complex systems, ensuring secure, compliant and high-quality software delivery. You will

oversee API automation, event-based validation and test-framework engineering while collaborating closely with stakeholders across development, DevOps and QA teams.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of automation strategies across API-led and event-driven

systems.

• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks using C#.

• Drive API automation using RestSharp and BDD frameworks (SpecFlow, Gherkin).

• Support JWT token–based authentication and authorization testing.

• Contribute to CI/CD automation using Azure DevOps and GitHub.

• Perform database testing across Cosmos DB and Neo4j-based datasets.

• Manage Excel-driven test data and ensure data-quality coverage.

• Execute business event automation and validation activities.

• Ensure secure, compliant and high-quality delivery aligned with enterprise standards.

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

• Strong hands-on experience with C# automation frameworks.

• Extensive API automation experience using RestSharp.

• Strong understanding of BDD frameworks (SpecFlow, Gherkin).

• Experience with JWT-based authentication and authorization.

• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub and CI/CD practices.

• Experience with database testing for Cosmos DB and Neo4j.

• Experience with Excel-driven test-data management.

• Experience in business-event automation and validation.

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:

• Prior experience leading automation teams.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Experience in UK Government / Public Sector programmes.
