Mendix - Support Engineer/ Admin

We are looking for a Mendix Private Platform (PMP) Admin Engineer/ Support Engineer

Location : Derby, United Kingdom (hybrid)

As a Mendix Private Platform (PMP) Support Engineer, you will be responsible for the operational

stability, availability, and security of Mendix Private Platforms running in enterprise Azure

environments. We are looking for a technically strong support engineer to operate and support both development and production platforms within regulated and security constrained environments. You will work closely with infrastructure, security, and application stakeholders to resolve incidents, manage platform changes, and ensure compliance with enterprise standards, while supporting business critical applications.

Key responsibilities:

• Operate, support, and maintain Mendix Private Platform (PMP) environments hosted on

Microsoft Azure.

• Manage and control container images, including secure ingestion through Azure Container

Registry (ACR).

• Perform Mendix platform upgrades aligned with official releases, including manual service

updates where required.

• Monitor, assess, and remediate Microsoft Defender for Cloud (Azure Defender) findings.

• Support Azure Policy compliance and implementation of security controls.

• Diagnose and resolve platform level incidents, service disruptions, and operational issues.

• Log, track, and manage support cases with Mendix for platform related issues.

• Provide operational support during Disaster Recovery (DR) scenarios, including service

restoration activities.

• Execute on-demand infrastructure changes such as scaling, configuration updates, and

networking modifications.

• Collaborate closely with internal IT teams and external technology partners.

Your Profile

• Handson experience supporting Mendix Private Platform (PMP) environments.

• Mendix PMP accreditation or formal Mendix platform training).

• Strong experience supporting Kubernetes based platforms.

• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure, including: Azure Container Registry (ACR), Microsoft Defender for Cloud, and Azure Policy and compliance controls.

• Experience supporting platforms within regulated or security constrained environments.

• Strong troubleshooting, incident management, and root cause analysis skills.

• Experience supporting production grade, enterprise scale platforms.

• Clear and effective communication with platform, infrastructure, and security stakeholders.

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:

• ITILaligned support experience across Incident, Problem, and Change Management.

• Disaster Recovery support experience for containerised platforms.

• Previous experience supporting low code or PaaS platforms.

• Experience working in rotational or on call support models.

• Exposure to PLM or MES platforms.
