Engineering Manager Future Head of Engineering

Techmunity are hiring a Software Engineering Manager for a profitable, high-growth SaaS startup building the operating system for hospitality teams.

Their platform is already powering operations at Pret, Blank Street, and WatchHouse, helping them scale using AI-native tooling and real-time operational insights.

The company is led by a seasoned founder who previously built and scaled a successful hospitality brand across the UK and Middle East - achieving a strategic exit to one of the worlds fastest-growing coffee chains. Theyre now applying that same operator-first playbook to SaaS.

Theyre looking for a hands-on technical leader who can guide a growing team, shape engineering culture, and evolve into a Head of Engineering role as the team scales.

Youll:

• Lead and mentor a team of 5 engineers
• Stay hands-on with their modern stack: React, TypeScript, Next.js, Postgres, AWS
• Drive adoption of AI-native tooling (e.g. Cursor, Copilot, LLM workflows)
• Help define engineering culture, delivery practices, and architecture
• Grow into a senior leadership role budget is signed off to hire 4+ engineers (incl. data and DevOps) over the next 6 months

What Theyre Looking For

• 1+ year experience managing engineers (Tech Lead or EM level)
• Strong product mindset and technical depth
• Experience in fast-moving teams or early-stage environments
• A desire to take ownership and grow with the company
• Comfortable working onsite with a small, focused team in Holborn
