Workday Adaptive Planning Consultant (Contract)
3 months | Outside IR35 | London (1 day per week onsite)
We’re supporting a fast-scaling, mid-market organisation (circa 700 employees) in the biotech/life sciences space, currently undergoing significant growth and transformation.
The business has recently implemented Workday HCM and is using D365 as its ERP, with Workday Adaptive as the management reporting and planning tool. Following a recent finance re-organisation, they are looking for an experienced Workday Adaptive Consultant to stabilise, optimise, and automate their management reporting capability.
The Challenge
- Monthly close and management reporting are heavily manual and time-consuming
- Data mapping issues within Adaptive (e.g. cost centres) are impacting consistency and confidence
- Reporting relies on manual checks and adjustments to align with D365 inputs
- Limited governance around change control and ownership
The Objective
- Deliver stable, predictable and accurate management reporting via Workday Adaptive
- Automate and schedule data flows between D365 and Adaptive
- Improve mapping, connectors and overall reliability
- Establish clear governance, ownership and change control
- Leave the client with a durable, sustainable solution
What You’ll Do
- Rapid discovery of the current state and root causes
- Design improved D365 & Adaptive integrations and mappings
- Implement changes with minimal disruption to BAU reporting
- Define and embed appropriate data governance and ownership
- Partner closely with Finance (FP&A and Fin Ops)
What We’re Looking For
- Strong hands-on experience with Workday Adaptive
- Solid understanding of finance processes, close and management reporting
- Experience integrating Adaptive with ERPs (D365 highly desirable)
- Comfortable working autonomously in fast-paced, scaling environments
- Pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset
Contract Details
- Duration: 3 months initially
- IR35: Outside IR35
- Location: London (onsite 1 day per week)
