Junior Project Manager / Project Administrator
ROLE DESCRIPTION
We’re looking for a proactive and organised Junior Project Manager / Project Administrator to support our team in delivering high-quality broadband communication products. You'll help plan and track R&D projects from early ideas to finished products, working with teams across the UK and the Far East working 20 hours per week.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in engineering or product development who enjoys keeping things on track and working with different people and teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
Project Support
- Help create project plans (tasks, timelines, budgets, resources).
- Schedule and lead project meetings and take notes.
- Track progress and keep project tools up to date.
- Raise and monitor purchase orders with suppliers.
- Ensure suppliers deliver on time and stay on budget.
Communication & Collaboration
- Work closely with teams in R&D, Product Management, and Quality Control.
- Keep everyone informed with clear updates and reports.
- Coordinate with outside suppliers and contractors.
- Share project updates in meetings with managers.
Risk & Quality Management
- Spot potential problems early and help find solutions.
- Make sure everyone is working from the most up-to-date documents.
- Help plan testing with the Quality team.
- Check if all documentation is complete at every stage of the project.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education (Preferred)
A diploma or certificate in project management (e.g. Agile, Scrum, PMP, PRINCE2).
Experience (Preferred)
- 1.5+ years of experience in project administration or management, ideally in tech or engineering.
- Experience working with overseas (Far East) suppliers.
Skills
- Strong communication and people skills.
- Able to stay organised and manage multiple tasks.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams).
- Familiarity with project tools like Jira or Confluence is a plus.
- Project management tools (such as MS Project, Jira, Confluence).
