Technical Business Analyst

Role: Technical Business Analyst (Microservices Experience Essential) 
Location: Remote
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum (FTC)
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst with strong experience in Microservices Architecture and APIs to join our client’s team on a fixed-term contract for a minimum of 12 months, with the possibility of extension. This role is critical within the microservices team, requiring a deep understanding of how these systems integrate within an Ecommerce/Retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
• Take ownership of functional and non-functional requirements, including process flows.
• Lead key workshops, including requirement elicitation sessions and Sprint refinement sessions.
• Work closely with Product Managers to refine Sprint backlogs and support prioritisation decisions.
• Operate within cross-functional Agile teams, ensuring well-structured Acceptance Criteria and best practices are followed.
• Act as a bridge between business and IT teams, ensuring technical solutions align with business needs.
• Evaluate existing business processes, identify areas for improvement, and drive efficiencies.

Key Skills & Experience:

Must-have:

• Microservices Architecture & APIs experience – Essential to work within the microservices team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and manage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in Ecommerce/Retail systems – ideally COTS products and home-grown applications.

Nice to have:

• Hands-on development experience with Microservices and APIs.
• Knowledge of Jira, Azure DevOps, Cosmos DB, and SQL – preferred but flexible.
• Experience working with both internal teams and third-party partners.
