What you'll be working towards
We are currently looking to engage with an experienced OCI Platform Architect for an immediate start with a large UK utilities body. This is a large scale critical infrastructure project, starting with an initial 6 month contract.
About You
- Lead the transition of existing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services, including full discovery, redesign, uplift and migration.
- Perform comprehensive OCI estate discovery, documenting applications, networks, databases, integrations and associated technical, contractual and security dependencies.
- Develop and evaluate migration options, including OCI OCI, OCI Azure and hybrid pathways, with clear recommendations.
- Define the target-state OCI architecture, covering networking, IAM, monitoring, disaster recovery/resilience, compute and PaaS services.
- Demonstrate deep, hands-on expertise in OCI, including VCN design, networking, FastConnect, NSGs, compute, storage, load balancing and Exadata/DBaaS.
- Apply the OCI Well-Architected Framework, ensuring strong security, reliability, performance, cost optimisation and operational efficiency.
- Design and implement robust identity, access and security models, incorporating Zero Trust, RBAC, secrets management and operational guardrails.
- Integrate OCI identity with Entra ID/IDAM, enabling unified authentication and access control across environments.
