Service Designer - Newcastle - 450 per day (Inside IR35)

Overview:

Tecknuovo is a deliberately different digital consultancy, delivering secure, modern solutions while up skilling client teams to ensure zero long-term dependency. We are seeking a Service Designer to support a public sector client on a live project, focusing on service design blueprinting and validation. You will join an existing team ensuring continuity of delivery while producing key artefacts and insights. The role will run until the end of June/July, where you will be responsible for handing over the completed blueprint and supporting documentation to a subsequent supplier.

Essential Skills:

• Strong experience in Service Design within large public sector or complex organisations.
• Proven ability to create service blueprints, journey maps, and operational models.
• Familiarity with Government Digital Service (GDS) standards (highly desirable).
• Good communication skills suited to a junior to mid-level role.
• Ability to work effectively with limited stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver service design blueprinting and validation for an existing service.
• Produce service blueprints, journey maps, and operational models.
• Support understanding of the current service and ensure continuity of design work.
• Document outputs, insights, and findings clearly.
• Prepare and complete handover of blueprint and insights to a subsequent supplier.

Contract Details:

• Location: Occasional travel as required to Newcastle (every 3 weeks)
• Contract: Initially a 3 month contract
• Rate: 450 per day (Inside IR35)
• Start Date: ASAP
