We are recruiting a Client Development Executive to support the commercial growth of a well-established, insight-led organisation operating across the technology, investment and advisory sectors.
This is not a high-volume telesales role. The focus is on research-led outreach, intelligent qualification and meaningful conversations with senior stakeholders.
You will work closely with experienced commercial and consulting professionals to build a high-quality pipeline for subscription, research and advisory services.
Key Responsibilities: Business Development & Pipeline Growth- Research and identify target organisations and senior stakeholders across technology, private equity and advisory markets
- Carry out targeted outbound activity via email, LinkedIn and other appropriate channels
- Generate well-qualified meetings for senior commercial colleagues
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records
- Qualify leads against agreed commercial criteria (market, scale, ownership and growth activity)
- Conduct early discovery conversations to assess suitability and timing
- Ensure a clear, structured handover of qualified opportunities
- Build a strong understanding of the organisation’s subscription services, research and events
- Maintain awareness of technology sector trends, M&A activity and investment themes
- Use insight-led, personalised messaging rather than generic sales approaches
- Work closely with senior sales professionals and research teams
- Share market feedback to support continuous improvement in targeting and messaging
- Support campaigns linked to events, research publications and market initiatives
- 2–5 years’ experience gained in either a business development, sales development or a research-led commercial role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders (Director, Partner, C-suite)
- Self-motivated, organised and comfortable managing a structured pipeline
- Genuine interest in technology, finance and investment markets
- Exposure to private equity, consulting, M&A or B2B technology environments
- Experience using CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce)
- Consistent delivery of high-quality, well-qualified meetings
- Positive feedback from senior colleagues on opportunity quality
- Growing commercial and market understanding within the first 6–12 months
- A consultative, professional sales environment focused on quality and relationships
- Regular exposure to senior decision-makers across technology and investment markets
- Clear progression opportunities into senior business development or commercial roles
- Supportive, knowledgeable team with strong market credibility
