Job Title: Python Developer - Onsite in Bristol 3x per week

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Python Developer with strong experience in backend development and API design using FastAPI. This role involves working with Pydantic for schema validation and SQLite for lightweight relational data storage, requiring an ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Python-based applications and services.
• Build and maintain REST APIs, backend systems, and integrations.
• Streamline versioning, release, and packaging processes of the application code.
• Establish testing strategies including unit, integration, end-to-end, performance, and resilience tests.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Optimise application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot production issues and support root cause analysis.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce development standards.

Essential Skills

• Strong experience with backend development using Python.
• API design and development using FastAPI.
• experience with Pydantic for schema validation.
• Knowledge of SQLite for relational data storage.
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with a diverse team.
