ServiceNow Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated ServiceNow Data Engineer to join our growing scrum team. As a ServiceNow Senior Data Engineer, you will oversee the data management processes within the ServiceNow platform, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and reliability. You will develop and enforce data governance policies and perform data analysis to support business decisions, requiring technical expertise, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of ServiceNow functionalities.

• Develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and processes to support analytics and reporting needs.
• Maintain and enhance database performance to ensure reliability and accuracy in business reporting.
• Collaborate across multiple data teams to meet analytics and engineering deliverables.
• Support the creation of datasets and infrastructure needed for dashboards, visualizations, and advanced analytics.
• Ensure the security, scalability, and performance of data pipelines and storage systems.
• Optimize and automate manual data processes to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
• Develop data management processes, ensuring data integrity and accuracy within the ServiceNow platform.
• Partner with the Configuration Manager and teams to ensure the health of the configuration management database (CMDB).
• Manage and maintain data/IT configuration items and data governance for the platform.
• Maintain the data dictionary and own the data model for the platform.
• Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures.
• Perform data analysis to support business decisions and identify trends.
• Design and optimize data workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Work closely with stakeholders, developers, and team members to gather data requirements and implement solutions.
• Generate and maintain reports and dashboards to provide insights into data performance and trends.

• Experience with ServiceNow CSDM data model and Discovery.
• Experience automating workflows and analysing data on the ServiceNow platform.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or related areas.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience in building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Solid understanding of database technologies, including Snowflake and SAP Hana.
• Experience in automating manual data processes and improving performance and efficiency.
• Certified ServiceNow System Administrator Certification (CSA).
• Ability to communicate and implement the ITIL CMDB Model.
• Understanding of business applications and their functionality in the ITIL model.
• Expertise in configuring business rules, client scripts, UI policies, scheduled jobs, UI actions, reports, and dashboards in ServiceNow.
• Ability to comprehend, modify, and create server-side, object-oriented JavaScript, Unix Shell scripting, and Windows scripting, and PowerShell.

• Experience working on CSM, ITSM, and SPM ServiceNow modules.
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with other applications.
• Experience working in an offshore/onshore collaborative environment.
• Experience with web analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics.
• Knowledge of SaaS and subscription business models.
• Understanding of agile project management and best practices in data engineering.

The role operates within a dynamic and collaborative scrum team environment, involving both onshore and offshore interactions.
