Field Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Field Engineer to join our Network Services division, supporting our Service Management team in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in maintaining IT and Radio Frequency (RF) equipment used in Emergency Services vehicles and Control Centres.

This field-based position requires frequent travel across Dublin and Leinster areas, so applicants must hold a full driving licence.

What Were Looking For:


  • Experience maintaining IT and RF equipment in Emergency Services vehicles and Control Centres
  • Supporting the maintenance of MDTs, TETRA systems, routers, and RF/IT connectors
  • Strong health and safety understanding
  • IP and RF skills desirable, plus experience with networks, PCs and radio frequency equipment / products
Key Responsibilities:


  • Maintain equipment using contract manuals and Telent QEHS/ISO standards
  • Deliver preventative maintenance and break/fix support, escalating recurring faults
  • Complete site documentation accurately and on time
  • Provide out-of-hours on-call support
  • Monitor solutions to prevent outages and assist with root cause analysis
  • Manage workflow, escalate third-party requirements, and complete RMA processes
Skills / Qualifications:


  • HND/HNC/ONC or equivalent, or relevant experience, level 6/7 check
  • Quick learner with strong problem-solving ability
  • Field experience in wireless/wired networks
  • Able to work at height and understanding of wireless/radio technologies
