Senior Full Stack Developer (City Of London)

We are seeking a highly experienced Full Stack Developer to join the software engineering team within a global energy organization’s IT function. This role is focused on delivering robust, scalable, and high-performance applications across front-end, back-end, and cloud environments.

The ideal candidate will have a deep technical foundation in .NET and Azure development, hands-on experience with data-driven applications, and a strong track record of working within agile, enterprise-scale environments.

Key Accountabilities:

• Solution consultation and development in accordance with enterprise technology principles, methods, standards, and practices.
• Estimation, solution design, detailed technical design, application technical deliverables including code, associated tests, and documentation.
• Contribution to functional excellence by defining and maintaining standards, methods, and tools, incorporating best practices from market-standard implementations.
• Manage complex integration scenarios and interfaces between on-premise, cloud, and legacy systems.

Skills & Requirements:

• 15+ years of relevant software development experience with a comprehensive full stack profile (front-end, back-end, cloud automation, orchestration).
• Proficient in .NET and .NET Core (Web, API, Windows, Services).
• Experienced in Azure platform development including Serverless Computing, Azure Functions, Azure Services, Azure Storage, Logic Apps.
• Skilled in developing multi-threaded applications.
• Experience with cloud-native CI/CD tools is highly desirable.
• Strong background in data development (T-SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, Azure Cosmos, Azure SQL, MongoDB).
• Experience with JavaScript and Blazor for front-end development is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of commodities trading, energy markets and algorithmic trading.
• Experience with C++, Python, Golang, or other programming frameworks is desirable.
• Familiarity with AWS Lambda, MuleSoft, Logic Apps, BizTalk, and other integration/cloud technologies is highly desirable.
• Experience with containers and Kubernetes (K8s) or functions-based deployment is a plus.
• Experience developing applications using microservices architecture is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated application of best patterns and practices in the software development lifecycle.
• Proven experience working in agile teams with a clear understanding of agile principles.
