Analytics Engineer (Hiring Immediately)

You will play a key role in designing and delivering trusted, scalable data
models that power business-critical analytics across trading, customer, product, and
operational domains.
This is a great opportunity to join a growing data team at the early stages of its evolution,
where you’ll have real ownership, shape foundational data assets, and work with
cutting-edge technologies like Snowflake, DBT, Microsoft Azure, and Power BI and next-gen
BI platforms.
Responsibilities
- Data Modelling & Transformation
- Design and maintain clean, modular data models in Snowflake, applying analytics engineering best practices using DBT.
- Build curated data layers (staging, intermediate, and marts) that enable consistent KPI definitions and accelerate self-service reporting.
- Collaborate with analysts, data engineers, and business teams to translate complex requirements into scalable data products.
- Ensure models are well-documented, tested, and version-controlled using Git and CI/CD workflows.
Analytics
- Empower the business with easy-to-use, trusted datasets—supporting decision-making across marketing, operations, finance, and more.
- Partner with BI developers to deliver intuitive dashboards in Power BI and ensure data alignment across reports and functions.
- Contribute to data quality, observability, and governance initiatives—helping create a reliable, enterprise-grade data foundation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in analytics engineering or advanced BI/data roles with a strong focus on data modelling and transformation
- Proficiency in SQL and cloud data platforms such as Snowflake or Azure Synapse Analytics
- Hands-on experience with DBT for developing, testing, and documenting transformations
- Understanding of modern data stack principles, including layered modelling, modular SQL, and Git-based workflows
- Familiarity with dimensional modelling, OBT, activity schemes & data warehouse design principles
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate data into business context
- A proactive, detail-oriented mindset and a drive to build systems that scale
Nice to Have
- Experience using Azure Data Factory, Airflow, or similar orchestration tools
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and data quality testing frameworks
- Previous work with international logistics, supply chain data, or operational analytics
- Comfort working in agile, cross-functional teams and managing delivery backlogs with tools like Jira or Azure DevOps
Salary up to £65,000 Gross/a
Role is hybrid- 3 days min WFO in Leeds
