Role Overview

We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead a high-profile Data & AI initiative, with a particular focus on Agentic AI. You'll be working closely with a specialist third-party vendor to ensure successful coordination, governance, and delivery of this programme.

This is a hands-on role within a rapidly evolving space, requiring someone who is comfortable working in ambiguity, bringing structure to undefined areas, and driving progress across multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities Project Delivery & Operations
  • Take ownership of delivering a key Agentic AI programme, ensuring successful outcomes in partnership with an external delivery provider.
  • Coordinate activity across business stakeholders, data teams, AI specialists, engineering functions, and third-party vendors.
  • Manage delivery using Agile methodologies, maintaining strong pace and alignment across sprint cycles and milestones.
  • Operate effectively in undefined or evolving environments, helping shape priorities, requirements, and delivery direction.
  • Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.
  • Maintain governance artefacts including project plans, RAID logs, risks, issues, dependencies, and reporting packs.
  • Provide clear, structured updates to stakeholders, including project boards and senior leadership.
  • Drive risk and issue management, ensuring blockers are identified early and resolved effectively.
  • Ensure strong alignment between business and technical teams, with heavy business stakeholder involvement.
  • Manage third-party vendor delivery, ensuring accountability around timelines, quality, and outputs.
  • Support continuous improvement across data and AI delivery practices.
  • Ensure alignment with security, compliance, and data governance standards.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Demonstrated experience delivering data and AI-related projects, ideally involving emerging technologies such as Agentic AI.
  • Strong Agile delivery background with the ability to balance structure and flexibility.
  • Experience working with third-party vendors, particularly within AI or advanced technology programmes.
  • Comfortable working in grey/ambiguous environments and bringing clarity to delivery.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly with business-facing teams.
  • Confident in stakeholder reporting, governance, and senior-level communication.
  • Solid experience managing risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Strong coordination skills across cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent organisation, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exposure to business development (BD) or commercial awareness is advantageous.
Background & Qualifications
  • Project management certification such as PRINCE2, AgilePM, or similar preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Agile and hybrid delivery approaches.
  • Experience across data engineering, analytics, AI, or data governance programmes.
  • Proven ability to mobilise quickly and deliver in a contract setting.
  • Experience within construction, utilities, or energy sectors is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft technologies (Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Azure, Copilot).
  • Experience using delivery tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
