Data Engineer - Microsoft Fabric - London - Hybrid - £50,000 - £65,000

My client are a leader in the environmental services industry and are expanding their thriving data team. They have invested heavily into the data practice and the business has seen great success from this. They're now looking to bring on a new data engineer to be a key player in their implementation of Microsoft Fabric.

Role and Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable BI solutions using Microsoft Fabric
• Build and manage data pipelines using OneLake, Dataflows Gen2, and Data Factory
• Develop semantic models in Power BI and integrate with DirectLake or Warehouse datasets
• Work closely with data architects, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver impactful insights
• Optimise data models for performance and reusability
• Support governance, security, and compliance best practices in a modern data platform setup
• Ensure the data platform is fit for purpose for the future development of the business

Requirements

• Expertise in Microsoft Fabric data engineering
• Excellence in Microsoft Fabric analytics (or Power BI)
• Excellent communication skills to work across technical and non-technical teams
• Proven Experience with Microsoft Fabric (Desirable)
• Previous experience in migration projects (e.g. moving from legacy BI to Fabric)
• Knowledge of governance and security within Microsoft Purview
