Data Engineer -Remote - AWS - Python - SQL - dbt - Up to £80,000

I'm working with a fast-growing B2B SaaS scale-up that's transforming how global organisations manage, clean and activate their data. Their platform is used by major enterprise brands to ensure data integrity, accelerate operations and unlock the full value of their lead and event data.

They're at an essential growth stage and building out the foundation for their AI and ML product suite. Meaning you'll join at exactly the right time to influence data architecture, shape engineering standards, and directly contribute to the next generation of their platform.

If you're the type of engineer who wants to design, build, improve, and influence, this is the one.

  • Working with data from Elasticsearch / OpenSearch and shaping it into analytics-ready formats.
  • Owning transformations using DBT Core, building models, tests, documentation and reusable logic.
  • Improving the structure, quality and monitoring across the entire data environment.
  • Managing and optimising the AWS data stack: Redshift, S3, RDS.
  • Introducing proper documentation, QA checks and governance processes
  • Supporting the development of the company's AI & ML platform, laying strong data foundations for the future.
  • Working closely with Engineering, Product and DevOps squads in a fluid, project-based environment.

  • Employee Assistance Programme - 24/7 support
  • Choose-your-own remote work kit
  • Pension with employer contributions
  • Clear opportunities to grow with the team and step into a leadership path

Key Experience Needed

  • SQL, essential, used across the warehouse and pipeline layers.
  • Python, especially for production pipelines, APIs and semi-structured data.
  • Solid experience with AWS:
    • Redshift (core data warehouse)
    • S3
    • RDS/Aurora
  • Hands-on experience with dbt Core (modelling, testing, documentation).
  • Experience working with event/log data from Elasticsearch / OpenSearch.
  • Ability to design and shape data architecture, not just follow instructions.
  • Comfortable introducing structure, quality checks and documentation in a low-maturity environment.
  • Experience improving DWH performance and efficiency; any DBA skills are a bonus.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills across Engineering, Product and DevOps.
