Data Engineer - Databricks - AWS - London (Hybrid) - Up to £65,000

You will work with
- Modern cloud-based data platforms with a strong focus on Databricks and AWS
- Cross-functional teams including analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders
- Analytical workloads supporting performance, commercial, and strategic use cases
- Scalable, production-grade data pipelines and cloud infrastructure
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain reliable, scalable data pipelines
- Manage and optimise cloud storage and data warehousing
- Ensure data quality, security, lineage, and maintainability
- Design and implement analytical data models to support reporting and advanced analytics
- Balance batch and streaming ingestion approaches based on use case requirements
- Contribute to engineering best practices including testing, CI/CD and documentation

Key Experience
- Strong SQL and Python, including query optimisation and window functions
- Hands-on experience with Databricks and Spark
- Strong understanding of data modelling (3NF, dimensional modelling, star/snowflake schemas, data vault concepts)
- Experience designing and operating ELT/ETL pipelines
- Familiarity with data quality frameworks, SLA monitoring and lineage tracking
- Experience with Snowflake and dbt
- Proficiency with AWS
- Experience with version control, CI/CD and testing
- Comfortable working in Agile environments (Jira, Confluence)
- Proactive, collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn
- Interest in sport, media, or entertainment is a strong plus
