Data Engineer £50,000 - London (3 days in office)

We are partnering with a global consulting and technology services organisation that delivers large-scale digital, data and AI transformation programmes for enterprise clients across a range of industries.

Due to continued growth within its Data & Analytics practice, the organisation is looking to hire a Data Engineer to help design, build and optimise modern data platforms and solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly skilled team working on complex data transformation initiatives that enable organisations to make better, data-driven decisions.

Working closely with business stakeholders, data specialists and technology teams, you will play a key role in developing scalable data pipelines, supporting cloud-based data platforms and ensuring data is accessible, reliable and actionable. This role would suit a Data Engineer who enjoys solving complex challenges, working with modern cloud technologies and contributing to business-critical projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain ETL processes, data pipelines and data integration solutions
  • Support the development and optimisation of cloud-based data platforms using cloud technologies
  • Build and maintain scalable data models to support reporting, analytics and AI initiatives
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions
  • Ensure data quality, integrity and governance standards are maintained across data environments
  • Support data migration and transformation projects across multiple systems and platforms

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience working as a Data Engineer or within a Data & Analytics environment
  • Strong experience building and supporting ETL processes and data pipelines
  • Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms
  • Advanced SQL skills with experience querying, transforming and manipulating large datasets
  • Experience with Python or similar programming languages for data processing and automation
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modelling techniques
