Data Engineer - Databricks - Newcastle - Up to £85,000

The role
You'll join a Data team responsible for building and maintaining a central data platform that supports critical business and investment decisions.
Day to day, you'll be:
- Designing and building data pipelines from multiple external sources
- Building and optimising data pipelines using Databricks and Python (PySpark)
- Developing, testing, and maintaining a scalable data platform
- Ensuring data quality, reliability and availability
- Working closely with stakeholders to improve data accessibility and usability
- Continuously improving systems using modern data and analytics tools
What they're looking for
- 4+ years' experience in a Data Engineering role
- Proficiency in Python (essential)
- Hands-on experience with Databricks (essential)
- Strong experience building data pipelines
- Experience working in cloud-based data environments
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Confident working in a collaborative, team-based environment
