My client are a tech consultancy seeking two Data Engineers to join a high-impact project for a key client. You will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines and platforms that enable secure, efficient, and scalable data solutions for critical environments.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Data Pipeline Development: Design and implement scalable ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ingest, clean, and transform structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
  • Ensure pipelines are optimized for performance, reliability, and security in sensitive environments.
  • Data Integration & APIs: Integrate external and internal APIs for real-time and batch data processing.
  • Develop connectors for secure data exchange between systems.
  • Data Quality & Monitoring: Implement validation, error handling, and health checks to maintain data integrity.
  • Schedule and monitor pipeline workflows using orchestration tools.
  • Platform Engineering: Contribute to the design and maintenance of data platforms that support analytics and machine learning workloads.
  • Work closely with DevOps teams to ensure CI/CD practices for data solutions.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with data scientists, analysts, and product owners to capture requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance on best practices for data architecture and governance.

Role Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL (or similar languages)
  • Experience with data engineering tools and frameworks
  • Familiarity with API integration and data retrieval methods
  • Understanding of pipeline scheduling, orchestration, and monitoring
  • Experience in stakeholder management and requirements gathering
