A fast-growing, forward-thinking technology Microsoft partnered consultancy is looking for a Data Platform Consultant to join their expanding Data & Analytics practice. This is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse, high-impact data transformation programmes across both private and public sectors, helping organisations unlock the real value of their data.

You'll play a key client-facing role in designing and delivering modern data solutions. You'll work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders, understand business challenges, and architect secure, scalable data platforms.

You'll work across the full lifecycle - from scoping and design, through implementation, technical assurance, and occasional pre-sales support. Expect a mix of greenfield and transformation projects, each requiring strong problem-solving skills and the ability to advise clients confidently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in workshops to capture requirements
  • Design, build and implement modern data platform solutions
  • Provide technical governance and assurance throughout delivery
  • Support pre-sales activities, including bid/tender contributions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams delivering end-to-end Data & Analytics solutions

Skills & Experience

  • Experience delivering data & analytics architectures
  • Strong background in data modelling and data engineering
  • Expertise with:
  • Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse, SQL, Analysis Services)
  • Microsoft Fabric & Power BI
  • On-prem equivalents (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS) welcome
  • Highly proficient in T-SQL; experience with M, DAX, Python or PySpark beneficial
  • Demonstrable background in client-facing consultancy roles
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead technical and business discussions
  • SC Clearance or SC eligible
