Data Security Solution Designer - Inside IR35 - Hybrid

We are seeking a Solution Designer with expertise in cryptography and secure architecture to design scalable, resilient solutions that protect sensitive data. You will collaborate with engineering, architecture, and security teams to embed secure design principles and cryptographic controls across the solution life cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design end-to-end secure solutions, focusing on encryption, key management, and secure data flows
• Produce high-quality design documentation, architecture diagrams, and technical specifications
• Provide guidance on cryptographic standards (eg AES, RSA, TLS) and support PKI, certificate, and key management solutions
• Conduct security reviews, threat modelling, and ensure compliance with security standards and regulations
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into secure technical designs and communicate effectively across teams

Skills & Experience:

• Strong background in cryptography, encryption methods, and key management practices
• Experience designing secure solutions in cloud or hybrid environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Knowledge of HSMs, KMS, Key Vaults, and secure API/secrets management
• Familiarity with security standards (eg NIST, ISO 27001, OWASP)
• Strong documentation, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills

Desirable:

• Experience in regulated environments (eg financial services, government)
• Knowledge of IAM and authentication protocols (OAuth, SAML, OIDC)
• Familiarity with frameworks such as SABSA or TOGAF and relevant security certifications
