Databricks Data Architect

Data Architect | Up to £120,000 | Hybrid (1 day/week in office)

We're moving fast on this one.

I'm working with a leading UK data and AI consultancy to find a Senior Data Architect — someone who wants to work on genuinely complex, high-impact programmes with some of the UK's most recognised organisations.

This isn't a maintenance role. You'll be shaping lakehouse strategies, leading client engagements, and helping organisations truly harness their data.

What you'll be doing:

• Designing and delivering enterprise-scale Databricks Lakehouse solutions end-to-end

• Leading architectural engagements and advising senior stakeholders

• Contributing to pre-sales — RFPs, PoCs, pitches

• Driving best practice around governance, security, CI/CD, and data quality

• Building reusable patterns that elevate the whole practice

What we're looking for:

• Deep, hands-on Databricks expertise (Lakehouse, Delta Lake, DLT, Workflows)

• Strong data engineering background — PySpark, Python, SQL, Spark

• Cloud experience on Azure, AWS, or GCP

• Confident stakeholder management — you can challenge and influence at any level

• Consulting or client-facing experience a strong advantage

Desirable extras:

• Terraform / Databricks Asset Bundles / CI/CD pipelines

• Databricks certifications (any level)
