Databricks Data Engineer (Contract)

£400 per day | Inside IR35 | 6-Month Contract | Fully Remote

We are currently seeking a Databricks Engineer to support a large-scale data platform migration project, moving from Azure SQL to Databricks.

Working as part of an established data team, you will play a key role in designing, building, and optimising data solutions whilst ensuring the successful migration of existing workloads into a modern Databricks environment.

• Support the migration of data workloads from Azure SQL to Databricks
• Design, develop and optimise scalable data pipelines
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT processes within Azure and Databricks
• Collaborate with data architects, engineers and business stakeholders
• Ensure data quality, integrity and performance throughout the migration
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues
• Contribute to best practices across data engineering and platform development

• Strong commercial experience with Databricks
• Advanced SQL development skills
• Experience working within Microsoft Azure environments
• Proven track record delivering data migration projects
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines
• Knowledge of data warehousing and modern data architectures
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills

• Experience with Azure Data Factory
• Python or PySpark development experience
• Experience working within cloud data transformation programmes
• Understanding of data governance and security best practices

• 6-Month Contract
• £400 per day
• Inside IR35
• Fully Remote
• Immediate start preferred (17th August is penciled start date)
