Salary: Up to £100,000
I am working with a global consultancy delivering large‐scale data and analytics solutions across high‐impact transformation programs. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, enterprise‐grade data engineering projects where you will design and build cloud‐based data pipelines, models and platforms that enable high‐performance analytics and data‐driven decision‐making.
As a Databricks Data Engineer, you will play a hands‐on role in developing end‐to‐end data solutions within a modern Azure environment. You will work closely with stakeholders including data architects, analysts, and engineering leads contributing to best‐practice data integration, modelling and optimisation across the platform.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and developing data pipelines using Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory
- Building and optimising ETL processes across complex datasets
- Translating business requirements into robust data models
- Collaborating with technical and non‐technical stakeholders to deliver tailored data solutions
- Producing clear technical documentation including architecture diagrams and data flows
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Deep experience with Azure Databricks, SparkSQL and PySpark
- Experience working with Azure technologies such as Data Factory, Synapse and Azure Data Lake Storage
- Strong SQL skills
- Solid understanding of modern data modelling and data warehousing concepts
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and requirement‐gathering abilities
- Experience within insurance or financial services industries would be beneficial
