DevOps / GenAI Engineer
Contract length - 6 months (possibility for extension)
Location - Remote (1 day per month in London) (UK or EU based candidates only)
Daily rate - £400 pd (outside IR35)
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Nexus, and ArgoCD
- Support migration and containerisation of legacy Java applications
- Implement GitOps deployment practices across OpenShift/ROSA environments
- Integrate SonarQube and security controls into the deployment lifecycle
- Use AWS Kiro and AI agents to automate DevOps workflows
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams
- Improve monitoring, observability, and deployment reliability
Required Skillset
- Experience with AWS Kiro (L300 certification required or willingness to complete the certifications)
- Proven background building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions
- Hands-on experience with ArgoCD and GitOps delivery models
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, OpenShift, and AWS ROSA
- Experience managing Nexus repositories and artefact lifecycle management
- Strong experience integrating SonarQube quality gates and security scanning
- Proven experience with Docker, Helm, and containerised deployments
- Good scripting skills with Python, Bash, or Go
- Experience using AI-powered development tools such as Kiro, Copilot, or Claude Code
- Strong understanding of Java application migration and modernisation
- Experience troubleshooting Kubernetes networking and service mesh environments
- Knowledge of Istio and cloud-native architecture principles
Nice to have:
- Terraform or AWS CDK experience
- OpenShift or Kubernetes certifications
- AWS DevOps Engineer Professional certification
- Experience delivering enterprise migration programmes
- German language skills
