Engineering Manager - Data & AI - London (Hybrid) - Azure & Microsoft Data Stack (Databricks, Fabric, Power Platform) - Up to £110k

From a technology perspective, the organisation is heavily investing in Data & AI as part of a long-term digital modernisation programme. This role sits right at the heart of that journey, offering the chance to shape global engineering delivery, improve standards, and influence how data and technology are used across the wider business.

You will work with:

  • Global engineering teams across Data Platforms, Power Platform and Collaboration tools
  • Senior stakeholders across Digital Transformation, IT, Product and Project teams
  • External delivery partners and vendors
  • A modern Microsoft and Azure ecosystem including Databricks, Fabric, Azure, Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint and Azure DevOps

What will be involved in the role:

  • Leading globally distributed engineering teams, driving clarity, consistency and strong outcomes
  • Embedding engineering standards, sprint discipline and predictable delivery rhythms
  • Coaching and developing engineering leads to strengthen internal capability
  • Aligning priorities and unblocking delivery across multiple teams
  • Overseeing vendor-led engineering delivery, ensuring quality and value for money
  • Owning service stability, including Level 2/3 support practices and smooth service transitions
  • Championing continuous improvement across tooling, processes and engineering maturity

Key experience:

  • Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams
  • Strong background working across multi-vendor delivery models
  • Solid understanding of Agile delivery, sprint planning and delivery assurance
  • Broad technical knowledge of Azure, Databricks, Fabric, Power Platform, SharePoint and DevOps
  • Experience scaling teams and maturing engineering functions
  • Confident communicator with strong senior stakeholder management skills
  • Azure certifications beneficial (degree desirable but not essential)
