The Role
As the Lead Technical Architect, you'll define the technical vision for a large-scale Microsoft Azure Fabric data platform. You'll lead the architecture across data, infrastructure, security, and DevOps, guiding technical decisions and ensuring the platform is scalable, secure, and built to support long-term business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the end-to-end technical architecture for a large-scale Microsoft Azure Fabric data platform.
- Lead architectural design across data, infrastructure, DevOps, security, and governance.
- Establish and govern architecture standards, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to architects and engineering teams throughout the programme.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to shape the platform strategy and long-term technology road-map.
- Review and approve high and low-level solution designs, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.
- Promote best practices across Azure, Microsoft Fabric, security, and cloud architecture to deliver robust enterprise solutions.
About You
You will be an experienced Lead Technical Architect with a passion for designing and delivering large-scale cloud data platforms. You'll have extensive expertise in Microsoft Azure Fabric and Azure technologies, enjoy shaping technical strategy and architecture, and thrive in a leadership role where you can influence stakeholders and deliver secure, scalable, enterprise-grade solutions.
Key Requirements
- Extensive experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale Microsoft Azure Fabric solutions.
- Strong expertise across Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, ADLS Gen2, and OneLake.
- Proven experience defining cloud architecture, governance, security, and scalable data platform solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Purview, Azure security, and enterprise architecture best practices.
- Experience producing and reviewing High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs).
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior technical and business leaders.
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) certification is highly desirable.
