Are you ready to lead the evolution of a cutting-edge data platform? My client is seeking a visionary Head of Data to define and drive their data strategy, leveraging Azure and Databricks to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions that empower analytics and decision-making across the business.

What You’ll Do

• Own the data strategy : Shape and evolve a modern hybrid data platform to meet current and future business needs.
• Architect and optimize : Design robust data pipelines for large-scale ingestion, transformation, and delivery across diverse sources.
• Champion best practices : Ensure orchestration, monitoring, and governance standards for reliable, secure data flows.
• Drive innovation : Implement smart storage, compute allocation, and caching techniques for performance and cost efficiency.
• Lead and inspire : Manage and mentor a team of data engineers and BI developers, fostering collaboration and technical excellence.
• Deliver insights : Oversee dashboards and data products that align with business priorities and enable actionable intelligence.
• Govern and protect : Enforce strong data governance, quality standards, and security protocols across the data estate.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven leadership in data engineering and analytics , ideally within Azure and Databricks ecosystems .
• Expertise in ETL orchestration , Azure Data Factory , and medallion architecture .
• Strong experience with Power BI , DAX , and KPI-driven dashboarding.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value.
• Background in construction, project delivery , or similar data-rich environments is a plus.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
