Lead DevOps Engineer

A Financial Services firm in Dublin are recruiting for hands-on Lead DevOps Engineers to drive the design and implementation of modern DevOps practices. This role focuses on cloud adoption, automation, system resilience, and secure, scalable software delivery across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with engineering teams to enhance CI/CD, testing, and deployment workflows.
• Contribute to internal DevOps initiatives and strategic platform improvements.
• Advocate for streamlined, robust software delivery pipelines.
• Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Experience releasing and supporting production software in regulated environments.
• Strong development background in languages such as C, C#, Java, Golang and a thorough understanding of their test frameworks
• Strong background in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo), infrastructure as code (Terraform), and automation (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
• You have developed applications that have involved the delivery and consumption of API's
• Skilled in scripting (Python, Ruby, etc.) and development languages (Java, C#, Go, etc.).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Comfortable using collaboration tools like Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket

Preferred Experience:

• In-depth infrastructure knowledge, including virtualized environments and SSL management.
• Experience building and automating infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
• Background in test-first development and managing configuration tools at scale (e.g., Ansible Tower, Chef Server).
