What You'll Do?
As Manager of a team of 20 Contractor Administrators, you will have a business critical respected role owning the day-to-day management and delivery of the contractor onboarding/compliance function worldwide. You'll drive best in class global operational performance across several regions, ensure service excellence, and lead a dynamic global team to deliver a consistent, compliant, and high-quality experience for every IT Contractor we process, within TRG!
Where is it? Newcastle UK based (global head office) with some hybrid working available.

The ideal person appointed, needs to not be purely strategic, but someone who thrives being hands on inheriting and inspiring various levels of staff. You will personally develop some direct and indirect reports to achieve higher billing/leadership levels. As well as actively contributing to both manual/automated processes, projects & resolving any escalated situations with solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & Day-to-Day Management
- Provide hands-on leadership for regional contractor admin teams (UK, Europe, US, APAC), driving performance through daily oversight, workflow management, and coaching.
- Oversee day-to-day operations including allocation of workload, SLA adherence, and prioritization of onboarding tasks across global regions.
- Monitor team productivity and output through daily dashboards and performance metrics, ensuring service standards/deadlines are consistently met.
- Lead daily/weekly operational stand-ups to review progress, resolve bottlenecks, and keep the team focused on delivery.
- Act as the final escalation point for operational issues, ensuring swift resolution and stakeholder confidence.
Onboarding & Process Management
- Manage the end-to-end contractor onboarding lifecycle, from offer acceptance through assignment start and extension, ensuring accuracy, speed, and compliance.
- Maintain direct oversight of all onboarding workflows, actively reviewing contract issuance, right-to-work checks, and compliance documentation.
- Ensure a smooth contractor experience through clear communication, proactive follow-up, and ownership of each onboarding case.
Compliance & Risk Control
- Ensure all onboarding processes comply with regional legal, tax, and immigration frameworks.
- Conduct regular audits of files and documentation to maintain full compliance readiness.
- Partner with legal and compliance teams to resolve complex cases and minimize risk exposure.
Stakeholder & Contractor Engagement
- Act as the operational lead for onboarding, collaborating daily with sales, billing, and client services teams to align delivery with client requirements.
- Communicate clearly with contractors, providing updates and resolving issues quickly to enhance satisfaction.
- Manage relationships with external partners such as background check providers, umbrella companies, and payroll vendors.
Continuous Improvement & Performance
- Own performance reporting for the onboarding function, tracking KPIs such as turnaround times, accuracy, compliance pass rates, and contractor satisfaction.
- Identify daily and weekly operational issues, proposing process or system improvements to increase efficiency.
- Champion best practice and contribute to the design and rollout of automation or workflow tools.
Skills & Experience
- Proven track record in managing operational teams
- Strong people management skills: able to lead, coach, and motivate multi-region teams.
- Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, solutions-driven mindset.
- A proactive, hands-on operational leader who takes ownership of operational outcomes and team performance.
- Lean Six Sigma or process improvement experience is advantageous.
