SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) - Remote - Azure - Up to £65,000 + benefits

You'll work with
- SQL Server environments across on-prem and cloud platforms
- High-availability and disaster recovery solutions supporting production systems
- Multiple client platforms in a managed services environment
- Monitoring, alerting and proactive health-check frameworks
- Engineers and stakeholders who value clear communication and practical solutions
What you'll be doing
- Administering and supporting SQL Server environments
- Managing backups, restores, patching, monitoring and alerting
- Designing and maintaining HA/DR solutions
- Responding to BAU incidents, service requests and escalations
- Performing structured database health checks (reliability, security, performance)
- Supporting upgrades, migrations and planned changes
- Working closely with customers to agree and deliver remediation plans
- Contributing to documentation, standards and service improvements

Key experience
- Proven experience as a SQL Server DBA
- Strong SQL Server administration skills (2008-2022)
- Hands-on experience with HA/DR technologies
- Solid understanding of backup, recovery and monitoring strategies
- Experience supporting Azure SQL and/or AWS RDS / SQL on VMs
- PowerShell scripting for automation
- Comfortable working in production, customer-facing environments
