The Role

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will:

• Architect, design, build and maintain backend systems and APIs using Python and one or more frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask, FastAPI).
• Leverage the full capabilities of the AWS cloud (e.g., Lambda, SQS/SNS, RDS/DynamoDB, ECS/EKS, API Gateway) to deliver scalable, secure, and performant services.
• Ensure robustness, monitoring, observability and operational excellence of our services in production.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years' experience in backend software engineering (Python) building services at scale.
• Proven commercial experience working with AWS cloud services and designing cloud-native solutions.
• Strong experience with writing clean, maintainable code, automated testing (unit/integration), CI/CD pipelines.
• Comfortable working in a microservices / API-driven architecture—and skilled at performance, scalability and reliability trade-offs.
• Excellent communicator, able to collaborate remotely and work flexibly within hybrid/onsite settings.
