We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join a fast-growing, analytics-focused environment operating at the intersection of sport and technology.
You will play a key role in architecting and evolving scalable data infrastructure that supports decision-making from performance on the field through to commercial strategy off it. Working with large, complex datasets and modern cloud technologies, you will help design and deliver robust data solutions in a high-impact, fast-paced setting.
This role sits within a collaborative, cross-functional team working closely with analysts, data scientists and stakeholders to deliver advanced analytics and modelling solutions across the sporting ecosystem.

Responsibilities
- Architect robust, scalable data infrastructure and workflows
- Lead technical design and support ongoing platform evolution
- Drive best practices across data engineering, performance and reliability
- Mentor engineers and promote a culture of operational excellence
- Build and maintain scalable, reliable data pipelines
- Ensure data quality, integrity and security across data platforms
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful data solutions
Skills and Experience
- Strong experience in a Data Engineering or similar role
- Expertise in distributed data architecture and orchestration
- Strong experience with AWS services (S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda, Step Functions, Kinesis)
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Databricks or Snowflake
- Strong SQL and Python skills, including advanced query optimisation and window functions
- Experience designing star and snowflake schemas for analytical workloads
- Solid understanding of data modelling principles
