Senior MD365 F&O Functional Consultant

To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance. To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years.
Role is hybrid / UK any base (please be aware that you will be expected to go to the nearest office to your location 2 days per week)

Salary: £63,000 - £75,000 Gross/a DOE

About the role
As a Senior Finance Consultant, you will:
🔹 Lead end-to-end solution design for D365 Finance & Operations implementations
🔹 Own requirements gathering, business process design, functional configuration, testing, and data migration
🔹 Facilitate client workshops , design sessions, and end‑user training
🔹 Translate complex business needs into practical, scalable, cloud‑ready solutions
🔹 Collaborate with architects, technical teams, Microsoft FastTrack, and global delivery hubs
🔹 Mentor and grow junior consultants within the Finance capability
🔹 Contribute to presales, thought leadership, delivery excellence, and community initiatives
🔹 Support the evolution of Capgemini’s D365 F&O offering, including AI, Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability , and emerging digital capabilities
🔧 What You Bring
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
✔ 6+ years delivering full‑cycle Microsoft ERP implementations
✔ Deep functional knowledge of D365 Finance modules: GL, AP, AR, FA, Cash & Bank, Budgeting, Tax, Leasing, Project Accounting
✔ Strong process expertise across R2R, O2C, I2D
✔ Hands-on experience with DMF, Data Task Automation, data migration & promotion cycles
✔ Solid understanding of core accounting principles and financial reporting
✔ Experience in producing FDDs, process flows, user stories
✔ Strong consulting, communication & stakeholder leadership skills
✔ Experience integrating D365 F&O with external systems via Custom APIs, Dataverse, Power Platform, Dual-Write, DMF
✔ Agile project methodology experience
✨ Bonus Skills
Preferred but not required:
⭐ Exposure to Copilot , Power Platform analytics (BPA/BPP)
⭐ Experience with D365 CE, Project Operations, or Retail
⭐ Power BI, Electronic Reporting, Microsoft Fabric knowledge
⭐ Active community presence (blogs, conferences, MVP/MCT)
⭐ Experience with non‑Microsoft cloud integration
⭐ FastTrack or Solution Architect exposure
🎓 Qualifications
🎓 Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field
🎓 Microsoft Certified: D365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate
🎓 Microsoft Certified: F&O Solution Architect Expert
(Additional certifications welcome: Power BI, MCT, MVP, DevOps Engineer)
