Senior PHP Developer

We’re working with a growing business seeking an experienced Software Developer to join their dynamic team. This role offers the chance to work on innovative financial applications, primarily using Go , while maintaining and modernizing an existing PHP codebase.

If you’re a strong developer with PHP experience and eager to learn Go, training can be provided.

What you’ll do:

  • Design, develop, and test scalable solutions in Go.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot existing PHP applications.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver secure, reliable software.
  • Participate in code reviews and follow best practices.

Required Skillset:

  • 8+ years of commercial development experience.
  • Strong understanding of software design principles and patterns.
  • Database experience (SQL and/or NoSQL).
  • Proven PHP experience.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP) and unit testing.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with financial systems or PCI compliance.
  • Knowledge of Go (or willingness to learn).

Location - Fareham - 3 days onsite requirement
