Senior Software Developer - Newcastle Upon Tyne

We're looking for a talented Senior Software Developer to join a growing engineering team delivering high-quality, bespoke software solutions across a range of complex and fast-moving environments.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with stakeholders, solve real-world problems, and build modern applications using cutting-edge technologies. You'll have the autonomy to take ownership of projects from concept through to delivery, contributing to meaningful outcomes from day one.

Your Responsibilities

• Design and build modern web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Develop scalable backend services with Node.js.
• Create intuitive, high performance user interfaces using frameworks such as React.
• Work closely with the stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Own the full development lifecycle, from design through to deployment.
• Improve existing systems and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Collaborate within a cross-functional team to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Stay up to date with emerging tools, frameworks and best practices.

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript across frontend and/or backend
• Proven experience with Node.js and modern fronted frameworks (React preferred)
• A passion for building clean, scalable, and maintainable code
• Ability to take ownership and drive features end-to-end
• String problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Clear communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment
