VP Front Office & Credit Risk Business Analysis Team Lead

I'm currently recruiting a VP Front Office & Credit Risk Business Analysis Team Lead to join a leading global financial institution undergoing significant technology, regulatory and business transformation.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Business Analysis leader who wants to combine people leadership with hands-on delivery, working at the intersection of Front Office, Risk and Technology.
Please note: this role is specifically looking for a career Business Analyst in the finance sector. Candidates whose background is primarily Project Management, Product Ownership or Product Management are unlikely to be a fit.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing a team of 7-9 Business Analysts
- Managing permanent and contract resources
- Conducting performance reviews and supporting career development
- Coaching and mentoring team members
- Gathering and defining business requirements
- Facilitating stakeholder workshops
- Supporting solution design, testing and implementation
- Acting as the bridge between Front Office, Risk and Technology teams
- Driving complex regulatory and business change initiatives
- Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders and executive leadership
- Contributing to the future adoption of AI within Business Analysis practices
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong Business Analysis expertise with leadership capability, stakeholder management skills and a passion for developing people.
The ideal candidate brings:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst within Investment Banking or Capital Markets
- Previous people management experience (essential)
- Experience leading, mentoring and developing BA teams
- Strong Front Office exposure
- Strong Credit Risk experience (significantly more important than Market Risk)
- Excellent requirements gathering and business process analysis skills
- Strong stakeholder management across Business and Technology functions
- Experience operating in complex change and transformation environments
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- A collaborative, proactive and growth-oriented mindset

- Derivatives
- Trade Lifecycle
- Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR)
- Risk Exposures
- Collateral Concepts
- Legal Agreements and Risk Implications
You do not need to be a quantitative specialist, but you must be able to confidently engage with Risk SMEs, Front Office stakeholders and senior business leaders.
