Trade Effluent Technical Advisor

The role will suit an enthusiastic person who is looking for a fulfilling and rewarding role and enjoys working as part of a team with a diversity of work.Trade Effluent (TE) is the discharge of non-domestic wastewater from trade premises.It is essential to control TE to protect the public, our people, our assets and the environment.You will process applications, raise charges and consent fees using the Wholesale billing system and will provide front-line customer service in the form of telephone calls, contacts and letters as well.What you’ll be doing as a Trade Effluent Technical Advisor
- Case management, support and completion of case assessments (new and reassessments).
- Customer and account queries.
- The role requires building relationships with retailers and customers alike to ensure excellent customer service.
- General support to the trade effluent team members both during the working day and during incidents
- Interactions with other departments include Wholesale Market Services, Asset Planning and Operational Process Scientists.
- Preparation of legal documentation and monthly internal reports
- Ability to work within a team environment is essential.
- Ability to work to timescales and targets.
- IT literate and fully adept in using MS Office programs
- A high level of attention to detail, a logical and analytical mind.
- The ability to evaluate, interpret and effectively communicate written data and information from diverse sources.
- Experience in customer-facing roles and providing excellent customer service.
- Excellent communication, relationship building and negotiating skills for liaising with external parties and across different levels of stakeholders both within and outside of the business.
- Water Industry Experience
- Knowledge of Thames Water systems, e.g. TERMIS, Salesforce, SAP supply chain, is desirable.
- Financial experience in revenue generation
- Regulatory Experience
- Ideally, have a valid UK driver’s licence and access to a car for travel to work because the site is in a remote location
- Competitive annual salary between £28,000 and £32,000 per annum
